Frans Maas (UK) Ltd v Sun Alliance and London Insurance plc [2003] EWHC 1803 (Comm), [2004] Lloyd’s Rep IR (forthcoming), a decision of David Steel J, raised a number of issues relating to a policy taken out by a warehousing firm. The most important of the points related to the coverage provided by the policy, utmost good faith and reasonable care.
