Liability insurance - Liability for pollution

The Court of Appeal has upheld the decision of Moore-Bick J in this complex case, [2000] 2 Lloyd’s Rep 700 . At first instance the judge had been asked to consider a range of issues relating both to liability in tort for pollution and to the proper interpretation of a complex policy drawn together from various documents governed by different applicable laws. Not all of the points raised before the judge were appealed.
