Lactalis low fat spread cholesterol claim set for approval

A claim from Lactalis B&C about its “Low fat and low trans spreadable fat rich in unsaturated and omega-3 fatty acids” and reduction of LDL-cholesterol concentrations is poised to get EU authorisation under a draft Commission regulation sent to EU Member States for clearance through the Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health.
