Legislation on renewables and energy efficiency is essential, says new ENVI head

More legal certainty is needed to encourage member states to embrace renewable energy, the new head of the European Parliament’s Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee (ENVI), Italian Christian Democrat MEP Giovanni La Via told this week’s Informal Environment Council in Milan.
