Deferred Prosecution Agreements – for more enforcement action?

The Crime and Courts Act 2013 has just received Royal Assent. The commercial and financial sector was keen to see the outcome of the debate on Deferred Prosecution Agreements (DPAs). A proposal to introduce them into UK law had been inserted in the then Crime and Courts Bill at a fairly late stage in the debate. The Act is now final, and the DPA provisions extensive. In this article, Emma Radmore of Dentons looks at how DPAs apply to economic crime offences.
