Salvage costs on increase

The International Salvage Union recently held its annual associate members day in London, as Liz Booth reports

2012 in review

The International Salvage Union’s (ISU) annual Pollution Prevention Survey for 2012 shows the quantity of pollutants salved overall was significantly up on the 2011 numbers. The increase is explained by the inclusion of a small number of substantial coal cargos this year. There was a decrease in the number of services performed by ISU members compared with the previous year.
