£123,000 in compensation for lifting injury

A woman who was left in continuous pain and unable to do her job after she sustained an injury at work has received £123,000 in an out of court settlement. The woman suffered a serious and permanent soft tissue injury and neurological damage after lifting heavy boxes. She was unable to return to work and was made redundant a few months into her period of convalescence. She was then out of work for several years before she secured part-time employment as a secretary.
