£55,000 damages for RTA victim

A pensioner who had to be cut unconscious from the wreckage of the car she was travelling in following a collision with a lorry has received £55,000 in an out of court settlement. After spending six weeks in hospital, the woman was sent home on crutches. She suffered problems with her co-ordination as well as almost nightly insomnia, headaches and frequent dizzy spells. Following a CT scan, her doctors attributed her symptoms to “post-concussional syndrome.” She has been left with one leg slightly shorter than the other and will walk with a limp for the rest of her life.
