Research highlights link between piece rates and workplace injury
There is a strong link between piece rates and workplace injury, according to researchers. In a paper published in the Journal
of Population Economics, researchers said, “While piece rates are routinely associated with higher productivity and wages,
they can also generate unanticipated effects.”
