Russian Legislation on a Central Depository

On 7 December 2011, the Russian President signed into law Federal Law No. 414-FZ ‘On the Central Depository’ (the Law on the Central Depository) and Federal Law No 415-FZ ‘On the Introduction of Amendments into Russian Legislative Acts in Connection with the Adoption of the Federal Law on the Central Depository’ (the Amendments), the main parts of which are scheduled to enter into force on 1 January 2012 and 1 July 2012.
