£10,000 in compensation for slip and trip

A UK Border Force worker who slipped and suffered an injury because he hadn’t been provided with much-needed replacement work boots has received £10,000 in compensation. Just a week before the accident he had written to bosses saying he needed new work boots as a matter of urgency. It was the second time he had raised the issue but his requests were ignored.
