£7,000 in damages for broken ankle

A factory worker who broke his ankle after falling down a 6ft wide hole has received £7,000 in compensation after the firm admitted liability for the accident. The mill operator had to take two months off work after falling down the hole which had been created in the factory floor during the removal of a machine. He also had to take three months off from his job as a retained fire fighter.
