£1 million damages for spinal injury at work

A joiner is set to receive more than £1 million in work accident compensation after he was left partially paralysed following a construction site accident. He has been left with no function in his fingers and legs after he was hit by an 8ft piece of plyboard, causing him to suffer a major spinal injury. He was working on the roof of a college when heavy wind blew a stack of plyboard which hadn’t been secured to the roof into him, knocking him out.
