US House passes limits on medical liability bill

American Tort Reform Association president Tiger Joyce has welcomed the House passage of H.R. 5, which places limits on medical liability. “As rising health care costs and an aging population continue to be among the biggest public policy challenges facing America, the considerable costs associated with the widespread practice of ‘defensive medicine’ are at last addressed by the meaningful reforms of H.R. 5,” said Joyce.
