A number of papers have been published recently on reform of the UK regulatory structure. This culminated in the release of the draft Financial Services Bill on 26 January 2012 following its earlier pre-legislative scrutiny between July and December 2011. HM Treasury issued consultation documents in July 2010, February 2011 and June 2011 with the Treasury Select Committee publishing preliminary observations in January 2012, and the Joint Select Committee on the draft Financial Services Bill releasing its report on 19 December 2011.
