Compensation pay-outs by police total £12million in last five years

Freedom of Information requests have reportedly revealed that compensation pay-outs by police that have totalled more than £12 million in the last five years. Freedom of Information requests to the 43 police forces in England and Wales plus the British Transport Police and Civil Nuclear Constabulary, showed they had paid £12,109,426 in damages since 2006, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
