£750,000 in compensation for loss of legs
A railway worker who lost both legs after they were run over by a train has received £750,000 in compensation. He has been
medically retired since the accident. He was on the ground helping a driver shunt a train. His legs came in contact with the
train and were severed below the knee. He has been left needing to use prosthetic limbs and a wheelchair. His employer admitted
65% responsibility for the accident and settled the claim out of court.
