Hogan Lovells expands its Greater China practice

Hogan Lovells has announced that William "Skip" Fisher has joined the firm's IP practice in Shanghai. Skip, an experienced
US IP lawyer and China IP strategist, was formerly based in Perkins Coie's Seattle office, where he focused on counselling
and litigation in the areas of patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights. Prior to that Skip had spent over 10 years
as an IP lawyer including two years with Lovells' Shanghai office.
A fluent Mandarin speaker, Skip has extensive experience providing clients with strategic advice on managing IP assets in
China, including acquiring, protecting, and enforcing patent and other IP rights in the country.
Skip focuses on the technology, media and telecommunications sector. In recent years, he has litigated cases involving cutting-edge
technologies related to e-commerce systems, electronic financial transaction systems, network traffic management, secure data
networks, and electronic media and digital rights management.
