£550,000 in damages for motorcyclist

The family of a motorcyclist who died after colliding with a van which then ran over his body has recovered £550,000 in damages in an out of court settlement. He was on his way to his job as a service manager when a van pulled out of a junction without stopping. Despite braking, he collided with the side of the van at speed and was thrown beneath its chassis.
