Government establishes Independent Review of Health and Safety Legislation

The Government has established an Independent Review of Health and Safety Legislation. The review will consider the opportunities for reducing the burden of health and safety legislation on UK businesses while maintaining the progress made in improving health and safety outcomes. This review - under the chairmanship of leading risk management specialist Professor Ragnar Löfstedt - is due to make recommendations to Ministers by the end of October 2011.
