£100,000 in compensation for fractured wrist misdiagnosis

A man who was left to cope with a fractured wrist for a year after doctors said it was just sprained has received £100,000 in compensation. He broke his wrist after tripping and landing on his right hand. He attended a hospital where he was told he had suffered a fractured scaphoid bone. His wrist was put in plaster but when he returned for a follow up appointment two weeks later he was told that he had not in fact broken his wrist but it was just sprained. His plaster cast was removed and he was provided with a splint and told to start using his wrist.
