Jones Day appoints Greg Lanier as partner-in-charge of Silicon Valley office

United States

Global law firm Jones Day has announced that Greg Lanier has been named the partner-in-charge of the firm's Silicon Valley Office.

Lanier, a partner in the IP Practice at Jones Day, had previously served as the administrative partner in the Silicon Valley office from 2007 - 2010, at which time he became the coordinator of the office's Litigation Practice. Lanier succeeds Jeff LeVee, a partner in the Antitrust Practice at Jones Day, who will return to the Los Angeles Office of the firm after serving as Partner-in-Charge in Silicon Valley for the past three years.

Lanier has tried cases to juries, judges, and arbitration panels across the US and has argued before a variety of federal and state appellate courts, including the Federal Circuit. He also served as an adjunct professor at UC Hastings College of the Law, teaching patent litigation from 2002 to 2007, and has more than 20 years of experience handling IP and complex business litigation matters for clients based in Silicon Valley and around the globe.
