Award for mesothelioma victim and hospice
The family of a Liverpool spinster who died from mesothelioma has received a substantial compensation settlement. She was
exposed to asbestos while working as an assembler on a production line. The hospice which cared for her during her final days
also received compensation of £5,791.50 from her former employer. It is understood the damages are the first of their kind
to be paid to a hospice in the Merseyside area. This is one of a number of cases where Thompsons Solicitors has been successful
in claiming compensation on behalf of the hospice which cared for the mesothelioma sufferer. Thompsons recently secured £13,600
for a hospice in Hartlepool.
