£200,000 in damages for RTA
A pedestrian who suffered crush injuries to his face after he was hit by a car while crossing the road has received more than
£200,000 in damages in an out-of-court settlement. He needed reconstructive surgery on his face following the accident. The
driver admitted liability in full. The pedestrain was injured as he was crossing a road when the driver of a parked vehicle
reversed into him, trapping him under the car. He suffered multiple fractures to his face and his eye was displaced. He also
had fractures to his left arm, ribs and spine. He now walks with a stick and has been unable to return to work.
