£15,000 clinical negligence claim

A clinical negligence claim has been settled for £15,000 in compensation. A woman who had a mole removed and examined was diagnosed with melanoma and advised to have an operation have a further five moles removed from various parts of her body. The surgery left her with multiple scars. However, only a few days after the surgery to remove the moles, she was advised her test results had been reviewed and her mole was in fact not cancerous.
