£8,500 in compensation for tinnitus

A man who suffers from long-term damage to his hearing caused by defective work equipment has received £8,500 in compensation. He developed tinnitus after he was hit in the side of the face by a faulty lorry door handle. The driver was attempting to unload a 40 ft lorry trailer when the accident happened. He has been told he will have to live with his hearing problem for life.
