£75,000 in clinical negligence compensation

A clinical negligence claim involving a nerve injury has been settled for £75,000 in compensation. A woman who had a benign lump removed on her neck by her hospital suffered nerve damage in her neck. She was left unable to move her arms above shoulder height due to the pain she encountered. Her day-to-day activities were severely restricted and it was difficult for her to care for her three small children. The lump was concealed by her hair and posed no threat to her health and there was no need for the treatment.
