£17,000 out-of-court settlement for dog attack

A teacher who was left traumatised following a vicious dog attack has received more than £17,000 in an out-of-court settlement. The woman was so affected by the incident she has been unable to return to her teaching job. She was left with puncture wounds in her arm and severe psychological trauma. The dog owner was insured and an out-of-court settlement was negotiated.
