£100,000 settlement for back injury

A man who suffered an accident when he slipped on spilt water and injured his back has received £100,000 in compensation in an out-of-court settlement. His company admitted liability but he stayed in employment until he was made redundant. Following his redundancy, he did not manage to obtain another job. His lawyer argued this was due to the recurring injuries and pain he still suffered from as a result of his accident at work.
