Tribunals Service figures on claims
The Tribunals Service has released figures for the second quarter of 2010/11 (July 1, 2010 to September 30, 2010). The service
received 220,400 new claims in the second quarter of 2010/11, an increase of 11% compared with the same quarter of the previous
year. A major factor in the overall increase in new claims was the growth in Social Security and Child Support (SSCS) claims.
These rose 41% on the same quarter last year. Employment tribunal claims fell 8% on the same quarter last year.
