£1.3mn lump sum damages for severe head injuries

A man who suffered severe head injuries after falling from a London bus has won a settlement comprising a £1.3mn lump sum, plus annual payments of £31,500. He was getting on a bus when the driver allegedly closed the doors when the man was still boarding. He lost his balance and fell and was trapped between the doors as the bus drove down the road. As a result of the accident the man lost his memory and does not always recognise his family.
