£90,000 for daughter of mesothelioma victim
The daughter of a woman who died from mesothelioma has been awarded £90,000 in compensation. The woman worked as an usher
at a Crown Court between 1979 and 1993. Part of her job was to dispose of old files in the basement of the court in the cell
areas. The cell areas were next to the boiler house. The files were destroyed by hand, and she had to remove paperclips and
any exhibits that should be returned. She also had to separate the photographs from the rest of the papers.
