Solvency II challenges captives, report

Companies with captives within the European Union are looking at whether Solvency II will force them to find a new home, according to a report by AM Best. Regulatory and compliance burdens under Solvency II are “disproportionately large” for captive operations and many could choose to close or redomicile by the time the new rules are introduced in October 2012.
