FSA interviews reduce candidates
The UK regulator’s recent scrutiny of applicants for senior management positions at large financial services firms is affecting
the number of suitable candidates per role, according to law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC). The law firm requested
data under the Freedom of Information Act that revealed one in 10 applicants for senior roles, defined as Significant Influence
Functions by the FSA, either had their applications withdrawn or retracted the application themselves.
