FSA interviews reduce candidates

The UK regulator’s recent scrutiny of applicants for senior management positions at large financial services firms is affecting the number of suitable candidates per role, according to law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC). The law firm requested data under the Freedom of Information Act that revealed one in 10 applicants for senior roles, defined as Significant Influence Functions by the FSA, either had their applications withdrawn or retracted the application themselves.
