Sunbeds classed as carcinogenic to humans by IARC

An International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) Working Group has classified UV-emitting tanning devices as “carcinogenic to humans” (Group 1). The group’s conclusions are reported in The Lancet Oncology. The IARC had previously classed sunbeds as ‘probably carcinogenic to humans’.
