UK insurers launch 10 year plan in partnership with government

A new report targets shifting the balance from state to private provision for pensions, accident & health and income protection

The UK government and the insurance industry have released their joint vision for the insurance industry in 10 years’ time. Many of the initiatives – which range from greater private provision for traditional state benefits to publicising London’s role as a risk centre – rely on “an effective partnership with the government” and an improved dialogue and communication between insurers and relevant government agencies.
