FURTHER EXPANSION FOR TORUS

Torus Insurance has expanded its US property coverage with the appointment of William K McArthur as Senior Power & Utilities Underwriter. He will report to Ben Wilson, London-based head of Torus’ Power & Utilities Practice. Also, Dennis Johnson and Mark Mowinski have been appointed senior property underwriters, responsible for underwriting in the US Mid West. Mr Johnson joins from AIG, where he was regional property manager for the Central US. Mr Mowinski was formerly an underwriter at Lexington. All three will be based in Chicago. Torus chief underwriting officer for global property Bob Klepper said that the establishment of a presence in New Jersey, Houston and Chicago was “an exciting prelude to opening an office on the West Coast”.
