Scotland launches new ten-year Road Safety Framework

Scotland has launched a new Road Safety Framework to 2020. Stewart Stevenson, Scotland’s Transport Minister, unveiled a new 10-year Road Safety Framework to 2020, called “Go Safe on Scotland’s Roads — It’s Everyone’s Responsibility”. For the first time, Scotland has its own road safety targets — to reduce the number of fatalities on the roads by 40% over the next decade and the number of serious injuries by 55%.
