LTC sales hit by economic downturn

Fewer long term care policies are being sold and new policyholders are paying less

For the second consecutive quarter, US individual long-term care insurance (LTCI) premiums experienced double-digit declines, falling by 34% in the first quarter, according to a new survey by Connecticut-based LIMRA International.
