Commonhold introduced on 27 September 2004

A timely review of the commonhold regime, now that implementation has just taken place. Part 1 of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 came into effect on 27 September 2004. The Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 (Commencement No 4) Order 2004 (SI 2004 No 1832) had the effect that pretty much the whole of Part 1 of the Act came into force on 27 September 2004. The Act sets out the basic framework, and the working details are set out in Regulations that have just been made – the Commonhold Regulations 2004 (SI 2004 No 1829).
