Award for trip on ship

A woman who broke her wrist on the second day of a family cruise has received more than £10,000 in compensation. She fell while onboard the ship during a two week Mediterranean cruise. She was walking out onto the deck of the cruiseship when she slipped on melted ice cream which had spilt from a faulty machine. She broke her wrist and had to wait two days before she could be taken to hospital in Monaco where her wrist was set. She had to take several weeks off work as a result of the injury. Once she returned to work she was on light duties for months.
