Australian recovers asbestos damages
An Australian asbestos victim has recovered damages in excess of £100,000. He worked in the shipping industry in the 1940s,
before later working as a fitter on locomotives in the 1950s and later still for ICI until the mid-1960s when he emigrated
to Australia. Throughout his working history he was exposed to asbestos and was diagnosed with mesothelioma. His UK law firm
worked with a leading Australian law firm and an early settlement was achieved less than three months after he instructed
the firms.
