Damages for faulty bicycle accident

A man has received more than £10,500 compensation after he was injured in an accident involving a faulty bicycle. He had purchased a bicycle from a shop and had only used the bicycle on short distances until he was involved in the accident. He was riding downhill at approximately 30 mph. He heard a knocking noise from the front end of the bicycle and also felt a vibration. The wheel suddenly bucked and he was thrown over the top of the handle bars.
