Fall at work damages of £43,600

A man working as a body worker has been awarded £43,600 after he fell and injured his back at work. He was in the process of repairing a bus over a maintenance pit when he was injured. He reached out with one hand to grab a handrail which swung out over the pit causing him to fall forward. To avoid falling into the pit he twisted his body and fell to the floor tearing muscles in his back and causing soft tissue damage.
