220,000 in compensation for road accident
A 85-year-old man who suffered injuries to his leg in a road accident has been awarded £220,000 in compensation. The man’s
leg was crushed underneath a lorry when he was crossing at a pedestrian crossing. The leg was so badly damaged that it had
to be amputated above the knee. Liability was denied by the driver. The man had health problems but had enjoyed an independent
and full life prior to the accident and this was severely affected by his injuries.
