Ladder fall wins £80,000 damages
A bakery worker who was forced to give up his job after falling from a ladder has received £80,000 in compensation. He needed
a hip replacement after falling 14 ft on to a concrete floor after the ladder he was using to clean machinery slipped. He
has now been forced to retire due to ill health. He landed on the floor, breaking his hip, which required a hip replacement.
He also fractured his elbow. He still suffers from pins and needles in his fingers. The bakery admitted liability and settled
the claim out of court.
