Shoulder injury sees damages

A chain maker has been awarded more than £67,000 following an accident at work which resulted in an injury to his shoulder. The incident occurred when the member was required to weld a length of chain which had arrived at his work station in a pallet. He had to pull the heavy chain out of the pallet over a manual pulley hoist to his workstation and then weld each individual link of the chain. Whilst pulling the chain he wrenched his shoulder, sustaining a rotator cuff injury to his right shoulder.
