Resolution directors in FSA probe

The former directors of Resolution plc, sold to the owner of the Pearl group in December 2007, are being investigated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Clive Cowdery, the founder of Resolution and the man behind the resurrection of the new Resolution Ltd brand as a financial services consolidator, is under investigation alongside Mike Biggs, Resolution’s former chief executive, Jim Newman, the former finance director, Ian Maidens, the head of mergers and acquisitions, and Brendan Meehan, a company director. All are part of the new Resolution management team.
