£143,200 for family of mesothelioma victim
The family of a man who worked as an engine operative has been awarded £143,200 following his death from mesothelioma. He
was exposed to asbestos when using an asbestos sleeve to protect himself from the heat as he carried out his job at the company
in the 1970s. The company failed to respond to the issue of exposure and claimed that they were not covered under insurance
at the time of asbestos exposure. The man’s law firm, Rowley Ashworth, made extensive enquiries and was able to provide policy
numbers to the insurers in the company’s name which verified the insurance cover.
