Ankle sprain compensation

An electrician has received £2,500 compensation after he was injured in an accident at work whilst working as a maintenance electrician at a forging company. He was walking through the heavy forge department where he was due to carry out some repairs. He stepped on the edge of one of the metal plates that comprised the floor which was 2-3 inches higher than the adjacent plate, causing him to go over on his right ankle. He sustained a sprain to his right ankle. Liability was admitted.
